Sara Raye and the custody battle she faced when she returned home from the Persian Gulf War and discovered that her ex-husband stole custody of her children. The battle didn’t end until the military, in two unprecedented moves, got involved. This battle influenced changes in the rules regarding single parents in the military.
When Duty Called: Even Grandma Had To Go, tells the tale of 47-year old Dianah Kwiatkowski, wife, mother, grandmother, who within two months of enlistment in the Army Reserve, is deployed to the Persian Gulf War for service in Desert Storm. This is her story of survival and the physical, emotional and spiritual challenges she faced while working in a war zone.

Seventy-two years later, thanks to the curiosity of two alumni, the mystery of what happened to the bomber has been solved.
